Welcome to Edwards Coffee and Wine Lounge, an enchanting cafe located in the heart of Fareham at 177 West St, PO16 0EF. This is not just another cafe; it’s a vibrant social hub where delicious food meets warmth and hospitality. With its inviting atmosphere, Edwards stands out as the perfect place to unwind, catch up with friends, or savor a moment of solitude with a good book and a delightful beverage.

The menu at Edwards is a fusion of comforting classics and contemporary dishes, designed to cater to all tastes. Start your day with a mouthwatering English breakfast made from the freshest locally sourced ingredients, as Jeannie Wigmore can attest to, noting how “absolutely delicious” it was. If you're a fan of lighter fare, the avocado with halloumi and eggs beautifully prepared with generous portions of golden halloumi is a must-try. You won't leave feeling shortchanged, unlike at many other establishments!

The cafe’s ambiance resonates with a laid-back charm that makes every visit feel special. As Sian Barker eloquently shared, whether it’s coffee accompanied by fabulous cake or a “cheeky glass of wine with a cheese platter,” you’ll always find something extraordinary waiting for you. The cozy decor adds to the allure, creating a relaxed setting conducive to conversation and connection.

Edwards is not just about the food; it’s about the experience. As Karen Chalmers noted, the staff go above and beyond to ensure each visitor feels welcomed and valued. Even during busy times, you’ll find the service is attentively paced and never rushed, allowing you to savor each bite and sip. And if you’re in a hurry, don’t miss the delectable sausage rolls or a standout gingerbread latte, as recommended by David Griffiths, who raved about the rustic, flaky pastry and great coffee that instantly lifted his spirits.

So, whether you are a local looking for a favorite hangout or a visitor wanting to explore Fareham’s culinary scene, Edwards Coffee and Wine Lounge promises an unforgettable experience. Step inside, indulge in mouthwatering delights, and enjoy the warm, welcoming ambiance—you may just find that this charming cafe becomes your new go-to spot!

I was taken here today, Saturday, 4th October 2025 by a lovely friend of mine. This was the first time I’ve ever been here and the English breakfast I had, was cooked from fresh, absolutely delicious. My friend had the avocado with halloumi and eggs and they did not skim on the halloumi at all, any other place would have used it to serve two or three people. The sausages and bacon are locally sourced from the butchers in Titchfield . Staff were absolutely lovely, really helpful, really pleasant, attentive but not intrusive. They also sell lovely home-made cakes and I have a Victoria sponge that I have bought Home for later. My friend had a coffee and walnut for later. The setting and atmosphere is brilliant, free parking at the rear. I will definitely be going back there again and probably introduce a few of my friends to it as well 10 out of 10 thank you.

This is my favourite place in Fareham to meet friends. It could be coffee and fabulous cake, tea and huge tasty cheese scone, feel good salad, an inspirational open sandwich or a cheeky glass of wine with a cheese platter, the food will be very special. It’s also a place where i would be happy to go on my own as i know i will be made to feel welcome and the atmosphere is laid back. Give it a try you wont be disappointed!

Really enjoyed our first time visit today. All staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued. Food did take a little while to come out but we were warned about that. Food was tasty and a great selection to choose from. Loved the decor too!

I had 2 weeks based in Fareham while cat-sitting. After trying 4 local spots for brunch, I was in despair of finding a place which served tasty, enjoyable food - until I found Edwards. I walked in and was immediately taken by a) the wonderful warm welcome I received b) how appealing the food on display looked and c) how many interesting options there were on the menu. The next day, I started my tasting. Day 1: quiche and salad 5/5 Day 2: sausage roll - I don't like pork so pretty much NEVER order this but this one looked sooooo good I had to risk it. Can I give it 6/5? It deserves it. Day 3: Avocado stack with crispy bacon. It didn't look a big meal but it was packed full of flavour 5/5 Day 4: Edwards Small Breakfast - warning - I have a huge appetite and I'm glad I went 'small' 4.5/5 Regrets: I wish I'd had time to try more of the quiche as there are different types during the week, I'd have loved a 2nd go at the sausage roll and also wanted to try the wild mushrooms on toast, Next time I'm back in Fareham, for sure! In summary: everything tastes like it has been made of good quality produce. The service is wonderful. An oasis in a desert of dire food options.

Stopped for a coffee whilst my daughter sat her theory test. Went for a sausage roll and a gingerbread latte. The sausage roll was incredible, rustic and flaky with a delicious filling. The coffee, equally as nice and to top it off the staff were lovely! Big smiles and very considerate.

Such a lovely vibe here ! The guy running the cafe was friendly & when i said everything on the menu and on counter looked delicious ,but i was healthy eating this month ,offered that the chef could do me a tuna salad no dressing which i thought was so good of him and it was delish & the chef came out to ask if i was ok with the salad seed mix on top.In our opinion, great customer service all round! Clean , friendly , nice decor and added to the atmosphere with the bifold doors open… Will be back for a cocktail next time but the coffee & Teapigs brew we had was good ! Great concept 5*
